New employees in participating long-term care settings submit to a fingerprint supported state and FBI background checks. KARES is part of Kentuckys efforts to help reduce the potential for abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation of long-term care residents and patients. Long-term care facilities include but are not limited to: family care homes, personal care homes, intermediate care facilities, nursing facilities, nursing homes, and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Skill set required: At least two years project management experience, working on medium to large scale projects, preferably government and/or healthcare related. Two-years experience working with vendor and contract/budget management. Other essential skills: Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. · Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills. · Ability to communicate complex technical concepts. · Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design. · Self-managed, highly motivated and has a strong drive for results. · Skilled in managing a team. · Job description: IT project lead for a highly visible long-term care national background check web application. Reviews deliverables prepared by the team before submitting to the client/customer. Effectively applies CHFS OATS IT methodology and enforces project standards. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimizes exposure and risk on project. Ensures project documents are completely, current and stored appropriately. Tracks and reports team project status to branch manager on a weekly basis. Assists in managing project budget. Facilitates team and client meetings effectively. Hold regular status meetings with the project team. Keeps project team well informed of changes in project status. Delivers engaging, informative and well organized presentations. Helps to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. Communicates effectively to client on a daily /weekly basis.
