Client: Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA)

Description:

The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) is seeking Graphic Designer. This position will provide support to MassDEPs Bureau of Water Resources program staff for the online electronic permitting initiative. This position must be organized and able to work with a variety of program staff in Boston and the regional offices. This position must be having proficient knowledge in Adobe Acrobat Pro and all MS Office Suite applications in order to complete the duties outlined below.

EEA anticipates utilizing a hybrid project management methodology incorporating both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum to organize cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities/Duties
• Communicating the goals and objectives of form conversion for the online permitting process.
• Provide technical assistance in reformatting the current forms that are in use.
• Respond to inquiries from Agency staff and others to provide information regarding form changes. Review, analyze, and rewrite all online documentation and instructions for new forms.
• Creating, developing and merging old forms to Acrobat fillable forms
• Use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to create and/or convert MS Word and PDF files to the new fillable format for electronic file submission
• Will be able to create amended instructions on form use
• Will provide weekly updates on form creation to manager
• Present form changes for suggestions on content to staff using a variety of means, such as join.me, conference calls, interactive PDFs, or one-on-one conversations.
Experience
• Applicants must have (A) at least 2 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning, and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
• A Bachelors or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management, or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
• A Bachelors or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management, or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*

*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.

Qualifications
• Ability to use computer
• Familiar with specific software programs: MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Conducts records research
• Uses software programs such as MS Office Suite to create and maintain reports
• Self-motivated, shows initiative
• Knowledge of the bureaus daily operations
• Works closely with local and regional staff
• Ability to proofread and correct documents
• Able to work as a liaison between various program staff
• Ability to determine proper procedure for assembling informational items.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
