The Senior Oracle and Data Lake Developer will provide a key role and be part of an agile development team, building enterprise grade software systems using: PL/SQL, Oracle WebLogic and Fusion Middleware, Python and Hadoop eco-system on AWS cloud-based platform. This contract may have the opportunity to renew starting next fiscal year, July 1, 2020. Responsibilities/Experience/Qualifications: Primary Responsibilities • Work on all aspects of software development life cycle following agile methodologies. • Work on different phases of development projects: analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. • Strong experience in data modeling, designing and implementing relational databases. • Create RDBMS database objects and data warehousing schemas (Star, Snowflakes, etc.). • Create data pipeline using Python and Hadoop systems for Data Lake solutions. • Create and configure Change Data Capture (CDC) system. • Install and configure Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware services to ensure operation of EEAs essential legacy systems. • Work on optimizing performance of SQL queries, stored-procedures (PL/SQL), WebLogic server to ensure good performance for applications. • Create/Enhance ETL procedures (PL/SQL or T-SQL) to extract data from public facing data entry applications and Operational Data Sources (ODS) to be loaded into our Data Lake. • Create and enhance Oracle Forms, Reports and Application Express (APEX). • Provide support and close HelpDesk tickets using ServicePro. • Assure that the source code for all applications are securely kept in Team Foundation Server (TFS). • Be able to utilize IDE tools for database (TOAD, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.). • Ensure project tasks are assigned and completed in a timely manner and project milestone dates are met. • Ensure all project documentation is created, archived, and updated, including design, development and deployment documentation. • Learn new technologies if requested. • Exhibit excellent verbal and communication skills. Qualifications • Minimum BS/CS or undergraduate degree with 8+ years of hands-on experience. • Expertise in building database objects and applications for multiple database technologies: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Redshift, MySQL, etc. • Expertise in Oracle programming language (PL/SQL). • Expertise in Oracle Forms and Reports and Application Express (APEX). • Experience with installation and configuration of Oracle WebLogic and Forms Fusion Middleware (Forms and Reports Servers). • Experience in Data Lake technologies. • Expertise in ETL batch or real-time scripting languages (Python and SQL). • Experience with Cloud-based technologies. • Experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems. • Excellent written and oral communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
