Maintain records and files of work and subsequent revisions. Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel. Confer with IT customer representatives of all the Transportation Divisions, IT executives, and any other associates and departments agency partners for any technical specifications pertinent to current projects and to determine subject material to be developed for publication and submission to senior executive staff. Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. Study drafts and any previously written papers, all specifications, and mockups necessary to integrate and delineate the work of the IT department. Assess delivery processes. Interview project management staff for progress on projects and programs, production support and IT operational personnel. Read and research IT and Transportation journals and other related material to become familiar with current technologies and IT production methods as they relate to IT transportation needs. Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. Arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material. Work with IT graphics staff in producing written documentation. Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate written material.
