Job Description Specialist: Analyze Hardware And Software Needs, Data Processing, PC Hardware, PC Installation PC Skills

Description:

Installs, analyzes, repairs, and supports personal computers/laptops/tablets, desktop software, peripheral devices, and other network equipment. Evaluates trouble reports and works with IT personnel and vendors to solve user problems in the most efficient manner possible.

Responsibilities:

* Installation, configuration, disconnection, reconnection of various classes of software, and desktop hardware and peripherals.
* Diagnoses hardware and software problems and undertakes appropriate repairs.
* Analyzes customer/user reports concerning automation equipment, and determines the best course of action for efficient resolution.
* Respond to assignments in a timely manner with proper documentation.
* Works with maintenance vendor representatives to ensure timely and efficient resolution to equipment problems.
* Generates appropriate reports of activities as may be required.
* Works with appropriate staff to ensure that the proper flow of reports, and other documents relative to maintenance activities is maintained.
* Assists in the daily operation of the IT Service Delivery Desktop Engineering and Support Units as may be required.
* Trains other staff in the performance of diagnostics, repair and installation of various classes of equipment services.
* Performs other similar responsibilities as may be required.


Required Skills:

* Must be able to analyze user hardware and software needs.
* Must be physically able to lift terminal equipment and related items frequently weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
* Must have working knowledge of computer, communication, and other
data processing equipment.
* Must have experience (hands on) in the repair, building, and installation of personal computers and communications equipment.
* Must be willing and able to work under adverse conditions
(noise/temperature extremes, etc.), (construction in progress, office demolitions, etc.).
