This person will be responsible for all aspects of functional testing of a web based software development project. Manual, and some automated testing, will be performed on the software to be developed. This position will work with the project team to define, develop, and execute test plans and test cases, using industry standard practices and tools.

This is a lean and agile project. The ideal candidate can work in all tiers of the architecture, and has experience with .NET and SQL Server, three-tiered applications. They will also have experience in all phases of testing – planning, QA, UAT, and performance testing.

Education and Experience Level:
1. Minimum of a Bachelors Degree with a major in software engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
2. Thorough knowledge of tools and processes used for Quality Analysis and Software Development Lifecycle Process.
3. Proven track record working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders and with cross-functional teams.
4. 7+ years of experience as a software quality assurance specialist.
5. Testing experience in different web browsers on various operating systems.
6. Extensive experience testing databases and knowledge of advanced SQL queries.
7. Excellent communication & documentation skills.
8. At least 1 year of experience with test automation tools, e.g., IBM Rational Functional Tester would be a plus.
9. Experience related to attendance and billing systems would be a plus.
10. Experience related to child care systems would be a plus.
11. Ability to adjust to changing situations to address emergencies, program changes, or production requirements.
12. Ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities:
1. The Senior Quality Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the EOE/EEC Organization, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and developers in the process of creating and documenting test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts, as well as executing test cases and documenting test results.
2. As a member of the team, adherence to the organizations methodologies and standards, and also propose improvements based on QA best practices.
3. Develop and implement test methodologies to ensure repeatable test approaches.
4. Daily usage of the following tools: Microsoft Team Foundation Server, SharePoint, SQL Server, IBM Rational Team Concert.
5. Test all tiers and components of the application architecture including, database content, user interfaces, user workflows, reports, and data interfaces.
6. Identify test data requirements for test cases, manage test data and technology based integration, systems and regression testing.
7. Accurately document test results and log defects.
8. Proactively raise issues and offer solutions.
9. Participate in daily scrum meeting to discuss current tasks and status.
10. Submit weekly status reports.
