Job Description : ROLE: PostgreSQL Database Developer LOCATION: Rockville, MD OR Reston, VA OVERVIEW: we have an immediate opening for a PostgreSQL Database Developer to support a migration effort. The position is on a long term contract basis, with a chance to become a permanent employee if so desired. Compensation ranges, depending on experience. The selected Developer will be responsible for designing and maintaining an efficient database system by overseeing operations of the existing database management system and troubleshooting errors. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of the project team to develop an efficient database system Perform data analysis, SQL, and stored procedure development. Write SQL to bring in new data sources, debugging ETL jobs in production, and test developer code. Onboard new data sets using the existing MDM framework implemented in the AWS cloud. Implement new products to optimize database performance Evaluate industry trends in database systems Review protocol and procedures in database system management Train other members of the database development team REQUIREMENTS: BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 7-10 Years as a Database developer.
