It is also to make sure that the current vendor support is a sustainable model for QVF system with its suite of applications such as QVF, QVF-GUI, QVF-Lite, E-Wizard, Street Index and Electronic Poll Book along with hardware and database components. This request is for a SQL DBA with modeling and database conversion skills to work on the Qualified Voter File Project. A high level architecture has been defined that will meet client objectives and support the clerks. The application will have 2 components – a web based and a client based. The client based will have a local database that is message synced with the central database. It is being written in web technologies using .net, C# communicating and MS/SQL database. The Senior Database Consultant, under State direction, will be responsible for database work related to the solution. They will help to perform design and review tasks related to the QVF web portal with focus on database, back end query access data recovery and infrastructure components. They will do initial data conversion between the current QVF database (Oracle) and the QVF Refresh database (SQL). They will also use a software tool (TBD), which will be used to keep the production databases in synch, close to real-time as possible, during the rollout phase of the project. Required Skills: * Experience working in web development with .NET and C# * MS-SQL DBA experience - including creating models, designing DB objects (tables, indexes, etc.), writing DB procedures functions, and triggers * Experience as database architect developing solution architecture from business requirements, information architecture and technical architecture. * Adv SQL knowledge: writing and maintainin lrg complex stored procedures, tuning SQL for optimum perf and creating and maintaining proper indexes * Data Modeling: Experience translating business requirements into a logical and physical data model * Version Control: Using a Source Control Systems (TFS or similar) to maintain a history * Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities * Experience with MVC 4.0 or higher, the Entity Framework, Razor, JQuery and related .NET technologies and frameworks * Experience with software configuration and setup of the SQL translations needed between the Legacy and Refresh database * ETL: Experience translating and transforming datasets based on bus requirements, * ETL: Run real-time extract to retrieve and store the incremental changed data from the Oracle tables Desired Skills: * SQL Server Integration Services transformation experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
