Job Description Developer: Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, Microsoft VisualStudio.Net 2010, T SQL, WIndows 200003 Windows NT Windows XP

[Note : Candidates must be local to the St. Louis area as an in-person interview is required]

Description:

Programmer/analysts role in Web Systems Development is to build, deploy and support applications that run in various field locations. This includes maintenance of existing field applications; development of integration layers between existing systems; and development of new systems as deemed necessary by the organization.

Responsibilities:

· Gather and document requirements for new development as well as change requests for existing applications with business leaders and department managers.

· Design software changes from requirements and review with development manager.

· Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document applications using appropriate editors.

· Participate in and occasionally lead development learning sessions.

· Work with newer developers on their projects and provide help when requested.

· Constantly re-evaluate software deployment process and search for ways to optimize its management

· Work with Field Training/documentation department to provide adequate user training and documentation to the organizations field employees.

· Work with the organizations Technical Support Center to provide them with adequate troubleshooting information.

· Provide final layer of support for field applications when the Technical support center cannot resolve an issue.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing Field applications.

· Work with database administrator to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Field applications.

Position Requirements:

· College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and 5 years work experience.

· 5 years of development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2002 or higher. This positions work will be done primarily in Visual Studio 2010 Team Edition using Team Foundation Server.

· 5 years of development experience using .NET Framework v2.0 or higher is required, 3.5 or higher preferred.

· Strong understanding of Windows Scripting languages including batch files, vbscript, and jscript.

· Experience in Windows OS environment including NT/XP/2000/2003 and SQL 2000/2005/2008.

· Thorough understanding of application development methodologies and the ability to quickly adapt to our development process.

· Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server is preferred.

· Knowledge of Microsoft 2000/2005 database development, including T-SQL, stored procedures and DTS packages.

· A good understanding of different development methodologies.

· Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.

· Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.

· Excellent knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Ability to conduct research into emerging development technologies and programming languages.

· Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

· Highly self motivated and directed.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

· Very strong customer service orientation.

· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environm
