Description:

Make the tool self-sufficient for the intended use. Reduce the need for a programmer unless a new feature is desired in the application.

Vision for the current initiative:

1. Modify the application to a 3-Tier Architecture (MVC Framework).
2. Database Optimization (indexing, etc.)
3. Rebuild the system using latest technology so that it is more efficient and easier to maintain with better user experience.

a. Improving the turnaround time for data population.
b. Keep the front end user interface the same (look and feel of it such as tabs, colors, buttons, etc.). Rewrite the code running behind web forms using latest technology (ASP.Net Core).
c. Remove unnecessary code whether it is program code or database tables or database procedures, etc.
4. Better backup and recovery procedures. Daily and weekly backups.
5. Reports cleanup. Improve data synchronization and retrieval time. Examples: Sometimes when the user enters data in web form, data are not updated/populated immediately. And, at times, the report breaks when there is a new data input. More of a cosmetic issue with report design, not logical or technical. Examples are footnotes getting truncated, margin misalignment or cut-off, page numbers had gone missing, etc.
6. In order to reduce the report generation time, generate Articulation Agreement (AA) from Cache if there werent any changes made to it in the last hour.
7. Enable Client to upload the static pieces of the AA by providing an up loader tool in the website behind login.
8. Provide documentation for the work done.

What the vendor must agree to:

1. Analyze the current system and identify areas of improvement keeping clients vision in mind.

2. Submit a detailed proposal that includes an approximate number of hours required to complete this project and an hourly rate or a flat rate for the project

3. Report to the point of contact on a weekly basis on the status of the project and progress made till that time.

Re-build the code base from scratch using the latest technology:

• UI design will be same but move design from vb.net to Asp.net core.
• Implement project with MVC Framework - 3 Tier architecture.
• Queries or logic part must be moved to Business layer, connection strings to move into Data layer.
