Job Description Administrator: Microsoft Management Tools, Active Directory Administration, SCCM 2012, Desktop Operating Systems

Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluation of the currently installed SCCM. Make sure that installation is complete and setup for the needs of DENR.
2. Contractor must work under an administrative account access rights. The rights are limited to the server. Domain controller access is not allowed by employees, so contractor must work with OITS for any configuration changes related to the domain controller.
3. Contractor will work with infrastructure staff at all time to provide hands on training and troubleshooting experience.
4. Documentation of all configurations and ?how-to? will be required.
5. Contractor will train all Ops and Security staff on all aspects of functions available from SCCM such as:
a. Software Inventory and Licensing from all computers in the DENR/EADS domain
b. Inventory capabilities of all hardware connected to the DENR/EADS domain
c. ?Pushing? software installs to PCs
d. Remote access capabilities
e. Imaging
6. Contractor will conduct training sessions for Branch Heads and Section Chiefs on all reporting available through SCCM.
7. Monitor SCCM infrastructure, capacity utilization and performance.
8. Diagnose and correct SCCM-related failures.
9. SCCM report design and generation.
10. Software deployment and patch management with SCCM/WSUS.
11. Ensure SCCM compliance with NC and DENR information security policies and standards.
12. First level support for DENR ITS Operations staff: resolve problems and answer questions related to SCCM and the platform environment; contact vendor support when necessary; facilitate client problem resolution

Required Skills:

* Planning and Organization experience involving complex and detailed technical procedures.
* Experience managing technical projects of varying scale with minimal supervision
* Demonstrated initiative in solving unexpected problems associated with projects and daily work

Technical Knowledge:

* Minimum of (3) three years experience in Active Directory administration (Windows Server 2008+)
* Minimum of (2) two years SCCM (2007 or 2012) and/or component products
* Solid working knowledge of other Microsoft management tools and desktop operating systems

Technical Solution Development

* Minimum of (2) two years? experience with evaluation, design, and deployment of SCCM and/or SCCM component products in a small enterprise environment (1,000 ? 3,000 users, multiple sites)

Consultancy Skills:

* Proactively develop and verify problem resolution.
* Act as technical resource

Preferred:

* Certification: MCSE desktop infrastructure
