Job Description Engineer: Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Desktop Support Engineer, Troubleshoot Network Printers Microsoft

Description:

* As part of the Help Desk Staff the candidate will provide Desktop support activities and will respond to Help Desk trouble calls over the phone, via the email service requests forms or ticketing system for processing user account requests ranging from password resets/unlocks, new hire setup, account modifications, transfers, deletions, etc.
* This also entails Tier 1 & Tier 2 Desktop support via email, phone, remote assistance & on site visits to troubleshoot & repair software/hardware/ network issues, and by installing software/hardware as requested to maintain operational efficiency in support of over 1100 staff members serving in all 100 counties.

Required Skills:

* Extensive knowledge of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro and its interface with other products (both PC and mainframe).
* Experience in a desktop support role.
* Ability to provide product instruction (ex: instruct users on how to use scanners, etc.), troubleshoot laser printers, scanners and other peripheral equipment and repair (or have equipment repaired) as required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Exchange user account setup and troubleshooting.
* Travel, including overnight trips, to various VR sites across the state of North Carolina may be required of this position as well as the ability to lift 50lbs.
* H.S. Diploma, Associate?s Degree in IT related field, A-Plus certification, or any combination of these will be considered plus 2 years experience in PC troubleshooting/maintenance in a customer support environment.

Desired Skills:

* Have a working knowledge of MS Active Directory user management.
* Experience programing in Visual Basic & MS Access.
* Ability to create scripts using utilities to automate processes/tasks, installations, system checks, etc.
