This position is to work with the STI GIS team by providing on-site GIS support. The scope of the work will focus on building GIS databases; acquiring, building, or linking to spatial data as required to support STI; performing spatial analysis; providing analytical support on various transportation, economic, and demographic related issues; and application/product development. Major duties include: 1. Assisting with development of structured processes and products through the building of GIS databases; acquiring, building, or linking to spatial data as required to support STI; performing spatial analysis; providing analytical support on various transportation, economic/demographic related issues and application/product development. This position may perform some tasks independently or within a team environment. Required Skills: • Knowledge of GIS principals, theories, and practices • Proficiency with Esri suite of software products • Knowledge of GIS database management • Knowledge of spatial analysis procedures • Knowledge of GIS demographic analysis procedures • Knowledge of cartographic/mapping procedures • Knowledge of Linear Referencing Systems data management methods • Proficiency with Python scripting • Knowledge with Esri ArcPy site-package • The ability to work within activity schedules from high level requests • The ability to work proficiently with minimal daily guidance • The ability to communicate efficiently in oral and written forms   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
