The IS&T Business Analyst understands customer needs and validates solutions. He / She is the voice of the internal and external customer for the Systems and works with customers (as well as Product Owners and Stakeholders) to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participate in the validation of the proposed solutions. The IS&T Business Analyst will work with DHHS business leadership to develop the business case for Capabilities, Features, Stories and Epics that are necessary to achieve the business vision. The IS&T Business Analyst continuously develops and communicates the vision to the development teams and defines the features of the system. In collaboration with System and Solution Architect/Engineering, he/she also defines and maintains the Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) to help ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements. Scope of Activities: The IS&T Business Analyst will demonstrate competency across the following scope of activities: Provides support to IS&T project teams for all activities related to data management and enterprise business intelligence components developed and maintained for DHHS Works in cooperation with project managers; works directly with leaders and end users to identify, defines, and documents requirements for requested development and / or enhancements Has direct communication with data owners, data analysts, application developers, and / or vendors to convey requirements of requested development and / or enhancements Translates requirements into features, stories, and epics Analyzes and maps business processes (current state / future state) Reports status and issues to the Project Manager(s) Contributes to enterprise architecture development from a business needs perspective Participates in demos - the IS&T Business Analyst is an active participant in biweekly System Demos, including an aggregate one at the end of the iteration Facilitates meetings for discovery and application design Provides general support, assistance, and documentation as needed for questions, issues, and concerns that arise from end users Conduct research and analysis to identify solutions to business problems and help to introduce these solutions to project managers, owners, and stakeholders Required Credentials and Experience: Post High School coursework, training, or experience 3 years professional experience Capable of working 100% remotely during the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm CST Preferred Credentials and Experience: Experience delivering presentations to project teams with business and technical audiences Skills: Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience gathering and documenting project requirements and specifications Native or equivalent English fluency Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
