We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Senior Software Analyst This position will develop and/or maintain system documentation including business requirements, and project process documentation, training plans, test plans, quality assurance and contingency operations plans, and reports Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Work with end users and/or review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts to document business system requirements and processes, develop process models, and document requirements for the development/ implementation of the CAPAS/FIDAS system for improved processing within the Candidate Management and Financial Management systems. Analyze and document current CAPAS/FIDAS business processes to identify improvements and to document the new set of business requirements going forward. Develop and maintain all Software and Business Analysis documentation. This includes (but not limited to) the following: Software and business requirements will be collected by interviewing business team members and those requirements will be documented in a BRD. Develop Use Cases documents. Develop Test Plans. Write Test Cases. Develop User Interface specifications. Develop workflow diagrams. Develop data flow diagrams. Document non-functional requirements. Execute test cases and document defects. Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases. Develop or maintain training or user acceptance testing plans and Tier 1 support guides. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases. Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests. Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing. Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required. Mandatory Qualifications: Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. 60 - 84 Months-Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education Preferred Qualifications: 60 months experience performing software, business, and data analysis for multi-year multi-phase IT projects: developing requirements and specifications according to standard templates; performing business process analysis; facilitating meetings with users to identify & gather software needs, business rules and complex security requirements; and test plan creation and execution. 60 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities, including creating detailed test plans, executing those plans, hands-on use of defect management tools to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff. 48 months of experience testing web-based software applications that include a workflow component, including writing SQL data queries for the purposes of validating application data 48 months experience using HP Quality Center/ALM and/or Requisite Pro, or similar. 24 months working on projects utilizing an agile framework. 24 month   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
