Responsibilities also include day-to-day maintenance, support, and enhancement of the existing reporting environment. The candidate must be a professional self-starter who has a strong data warehouse background and can translate customers needs into technically sound data warehousing and reporting solutions. The candidate will interact with business representatives to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements to the existing system, coordinate testing, and perform change management/training for BW Reports. The candidate will assess detailed business requirements for operational, analytic and executive reporting to design, develop and support business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to operate within ambiguity, and demonstrate flexible and intuitive communication skills and a willingness to mentor others. The candidate will also be responsible for defining and driving the use of reporting standards across the enterprise. Responsibilities: -Help to motivate and mentor Developers to deliver innovative reporting solutions to timely and successful conclusions while adhering to standards, quality and deadlines -Recommend an optimal information architecture, technology infrastructure, and change management and security processes for the reporting environments. -Ability to review code, data model for accuracy and data integrity, data load performance tuning and eliminate redundant processes. Enhance custom/generic extractor to include additional fields -Develop and drive the implementation of management reporting best practices and standards to the business. -Design reporting solutions to meet complex business requirements. -Perform requirements gathering, analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and programming in the SAP/BI environment. -Design, implement and support complex ETL processes (SAP R/3, and non-SAP systems). -Prepare project related documentation during the different stages of the project. -Participate in the development and support of reporting solutions including program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing. -Provide support and maintenance of various stages of the BI project life cycle. Skills: -Must possess ability to work independently and as a team member. -Must demonstrate ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment. -Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. -Excellent customer service skills required. -Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. -Excellent business acumen and technical acumen required. -Experience with SAP BI 7.0 is a plus. -Experience working with SAP ABAP development environment (ABAP programs, data dictionary objects, infosets, R/3 extraction routines, transfer and update rules, transports etc) is a plus.
