We have a 24-month project with our client in New York, NY that requires a Senior Systems Analyst Is responsible for analysis and testing of multiple Department of Early Childhood Education (DECE) applications that support and meet key objectives, ensuring continued systems infrastructure, data integrity, system performance and availability. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Completes all assigned functional, regression, performance, and tests of applications within the appropriate timeline. Participates in project-level planning and reviews and approvals sessions, which includes business requirements and Application Software Requirements/Design review meetings. Analyze and understand ETL structural mapping and technical specification documents. Create test cases to perform Sanity, Functional, Regression, Database and ETL Testing. Analyze and report on complex data; both source and target systems to identify potential gaps in mapping documentation. Design tests for DW/ETL source data extraction, business transformation logic and target table loading. Identify, analyze and document problems with functionality, output files, or tables. Monitor defect resolution efforts and track progress. Write complex SQL queries and develop solution diagrams to demonstrate new capabilities. Defines data quality test strategy and test plan in collaboration with project stakeholders. Designs, creates and maintains test data as needed to support data quality testing. Authors high level data quality test documentation including flows within the documentation to demonstrate test approach and proposed paths through the system. Produces data quality test results and analysis. Maintains test plan documentation as project progresses and works with project team stakeholders to get signoff on plan as well as to educate project stakeholders on data quality test requirements, plans and status. Participates in the analysis of requirements and specifications necessary to create data flow models. Successfully design and run smoke tests and regression test suites Collaborates with project Technical Project Manager and QA Director in developing and maintaining documentation describing test scope and test schedules. Identify Performance thresholds using client side & server-side metrics and build load models Work closely under the direction of the Project and Development Managers with stakeholders from multiple DOE departments. Mandatory Qualifications: Specializes in analyzing, designing and implementing information systems. Assesses the suitability of information systems in terms of their intended outcomes and liaises with end users, software vendors and programmers in order to achieve these outcomes. Uses analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using information technology. Serves as change agent, who identifies the organizational improvements needed, designs systems to implement those changes and trains and motivates others to use the systems 60-84 Months-Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Preferred Qualifications: 60 months of development experience and ability to create complex SQL queries and work with SQL editors. 36 months as a QA tester on IT projects and ability to create SDLC documenting processes. 36 months experience with private sector enterprises, well established consulting firms, and/or in the public sector at the federal, state or municipal government levels 48 months experience creating quality assurance plans based on the analysis of design documents and requirements, creating and executing test cases, logging and a   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
