This DevOps role with work with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Information Technology (IT) Managers/Supervisors, enterprise architect and other IT staff to design, monitor and update DevOps artifacts including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices and position papers; Leads complex initiatives for organizational improvement frameworks in DevOps, Azure. Support the development and management teams with tools, services, and information to enhance productivity and manage risks. Publishes IT DevOps artifacts. Document and maintain the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) standard deployment process and application hosting environment Lead the effort to establish a DevOps culture by working directly with developers and the infrastructure and operations group. Assist developer and infrastructure teams in utilizing DevOps practices, to build and release applications and act as a liaison between them. Makes recommendations to improve operational efficiencies; writes scripts to automate application deployments, build environments, troubleshoot issues. Streamline the CI/CD process by removing bottlenecks related to environment provisioning and maintenance. Develop, test, and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and Git Branching and merging processes and other DevOps artifacts for applications and services. Work with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure automated tests are successfully executed as part of the deployment process. Automate the deployment of the containerized application in the cloud (e.g. Docker containers using Kubernetes). Monitors applications for incidents and performance issues and provides reports/ dashboards to the Office of Management Information Systems management. Assists IT Architect / Consultants, Chief Information Security Office (CISO), CIO or IT Managers to obtain support for achieving current IT goals and objectives; assists IT staff ensuring communication is easily understood by intended audiences, including nontechnical staff; provides knowledge transfer to employees on regularly maintained or newly enhanced systems.
