This environment is primarily made up of virtualized Windows and Red Hat Linux Operating systems that are hosted by VMware ESX. The primary hosting platform runs on HPC7000 blade enclosures however there is still legacy PA-RISC and Dell x86 hardware being maintained as we continue our migrations to our private cloud. The primary storage platform for the private cloud is IBM SVC utilizing XiV and Storwize V700 storage frames although there is legacy EMC Storage in the environment as well. This team is also responsible for second and third level support for automated tools that support the cloud like SCCM, Orchestrator, SCOM and enterprise backup via TSM. The successful candidate will be motivated team player who can bring second and third level technical experience in order to support the server and software administration teams. This candidate does not need to be an expert in all the technology areas mentioned but must be willing and able to quickly learn about these technologies to support the team. Technical Qualifications: These are listed in order of importance, but note that not all qualification are required in order to be considered for the position: 1. Technical experience with managing a large VMware ESX 4.0 and 5.1 clustered environment including HA and DR experience 2. Must be able to perform storage provisioning, zoning, troubleshooting of the storage/SAN environment and perform performance analysis on a storage/SAN environment (IBM SVC, IBM XiV, IBM Storwize V700, EMC, Brocade, McData and Cisco technologies) 3. General knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Orchestrator, Symantec Endpoint Protection and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 4. Experience working with HP blade enclosures (C7000, 460c) and boot from SAN technology 5. Technical knowledge and experience with either the Windows OS environment (Windows 2003, 2008, 2012) or Red Hat Linux (5.x, 6.x), but preferable both. Requirements Required Qualifications 1. Five plus (5+) years of hands-on technical experience in an enterprise server environment 2. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to think strategically 3. Strong written and verbal communications as well as interpersonal skills. 4.
