Job Description :

Role: SQL Data Analyst


Location: Danville, PA 17821

Looking for a SQL Data Analyst to help with an upcoming project which involves integrating all SQL Databases into our Hadoop Platform/Ecosystem.

Candidate should have strong SQL Data Analysis background.
Data is pulled from SQL Server and Oracle Databases within a Data Warehouse.
Ability to analyze the dataset by leveraging SQL. Eventually the candidate should be able to pick up the skills required to work on Hadoop platform by leveraging Hive (HiveQL which is pretty similar to SQL).
Health insurance background.
Should be able to write requirement documents, create Source to Target data mapping documents and perform data validation.


Must have skills:

Advanced SQL (Structured Query Language) skills including strong SQL Query data writing.
Minimum of 5+ years of SQL Query experience.
Experience extracting data and moving data from SQL Server and Oracle Databases.
Health Insurance domain experience (Claims, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
Exposure to Data Warehouse and ETL. (They do not use ETL Tools like Informatica or Ab Initio in this role though – they need to be strong SQL Data Analyst – dont send Informatica or DW Developers)
If they have exposure to Hadoop, Pig, Hive or HiveQL would be a bonus. If they do not they will get the chance to learn this eventually (selling point).
