The individual in this position will pick up their commonwealth-issued equipment from The Server Farm and badging could very well be done that day too.*** PennDOT seeks a Project Manager with 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in large or enterprise IT systems using new and emerging technologies. The prospective candidate will be required to operate under limited supervision and provides technical team guidance and coordination for all facets of the project work involved in the development and maintenance of the PennDOT Information Technology systems. Education: • Required 1. A Bachelors degree in a technical field of study or equivalent. • Preferred 1. A Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technology discipline. Experience: • Required 1. Formal training in project management or 4 to 5 years of project management experience. 2. Demonstrated proficiency in project management techniques/methodology and coordination of technical teams and resources. 3. A working knowledge of IT Change Management. 4. A working knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures. 5. Ability to complete job duties with limited supervision. 6. Ability to perform problem analysis/resolution. 7. Highly effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of an organization. 8. Prepare regular project status reports for senior management. 9. Ability to effectively coordinate technical teams to achieve project goals. 10. Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and customer service skills. 11. Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment. 12. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365 products (e.g., Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) including working with advanced formulas and pivot tables and charts in Excel. • Preferred 1. PMP certification and 4 to 5 years of experience using formal project management methodologies in a large or enterprise level Information Technology system environment. 2. A thorough understanding of IT hardware/software configuration. 3. A thorough understanding and demonstrated proficiency of IT Change Management. Experience in working with at least one industry standard change management tool (e.g., Remedy IT Service Management, ServiceNow, etc.). 4. A thorough understanding of ITIL processes, procedures, tasks, and checklists for IT service management (ITSM). 5. High level of proficiency in effective problem solving. 6. Expert knowledge level in Microsoft Office and Office 365 products (e.g., Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) including a thorough knowledge and experience developing VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) macros.
