This position will be under limited direction of the Director of Software Development. This individual will work on a small, agile team developing innovative healthcare technology solutions that remove barriers for patients and physicians for specialty pharmaceutical products. Specifically in this role, the Application Developer: Works directly with customers to understand their issues and needs, define changes to production systems, partner with other developers and designers including development teams outside the company, iterate through design and implementation, demo to stakeholders, gather feedback, launch, and incorporate lessons learned to improve the software development process going forward. Writes software, including implementing, maintaining, and improving products developed by the company, in addition to internal tools, unit testing own and others code, peer review of others code. Participates in software design and design review, including being familiar with and contributing to Software Design Documentation (SDD). Participates in continual improvement of the tools and processes involved in the software development process. Works with Quality Assurance (QA) and Customer Support teams, including bug tracking/issue management. Performs end-user and technical support to a wide range of executives, management, and staff members. Engages with clients to understand scope and criticality of new change requests Additional responsibilities may include: Assisting or managing QA, or Demo deployments. Developing training plans, outlines, and materials for clients. Serving as primary point of contact after formal training. The ideal candidate has: Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering or related field required Full-stack software developer (front-end and back-end) 3+ years experience in .NET Core or WebApi 2 technologies on Microsoft platform React.JS experience is nice to have, but not necessary. JavaScript, HTML, JQuery is mandatory Microsoft SQLServer experience Inversion of Control and Dependency Injection (IoC/DI) necessary as well as Unit Testing frameworks Strong skills programming in C# required. Additional Preferred Skills: Creative problem solving skills. Experience with the following tools or technologies a plus: git, Entity Framework, command-line/UNIX shell/bash, Jira, AWS. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with ability to explain technical design, concepts, and risks to both developers and non-developers. Creative problem solving skills. Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and independence. Ability to express concepts and new ideas effectively. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments or projects effectively. Strong time management skills. Attention to detail and quality. Positive attitude during pairing and other team interactions.
