DOR wishes to engage a systems software programmer experienced in Business Objects to support the continuing development of the DOR Business Intelligence program. The following position description details the skills and tasks that are required of the systems software programmer. These tasks/skills do not include database administration support or technical infrastructure support tasks, as they fall under a different support area within the DOR organization. This position reports to the DOR Taxpayer and Business Services Deputy Director & Project Manager for Documents Development and Management. Working under limited supervision, this resource performs the technical analysis, universe and report/dashboard design, development, implementation, information architecture and metadata creation for DOR business intelligence programs. Work will include management reporting for operational systems under development, as well as reports and dashboards for agency key measures and opportunities for trending and forecasting. Develop Business Intelligence applications utilizing a variety of data sources, including SQL Server databases, flat files, Access databases, and Excel spreadsheets. Deliverables will include reports, templates, and dashboards. Serve as a resource to users of the Business Objects tools. Requires bachelors degree in a related area and 6 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: A Bachelors degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and four (4) years of experience in information technology systems or related area, an Associates degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and six (6) years of experience in information technology systems or related area, or a High School diploma and eight (8) years of experience in information technology systems or related area.
