Job Description: REPORTS TO: BIT Development Manager LOCATION: Pierre, SD or Remote DURATION: February 2021 through June 30, 2022 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This position will work as part of a team and directly with the client on the new SDCars System, which is the Titling, Plates, & Registrations system for the State of South Dakotas Division of Motor Vehicles. This position will oversee all aspects of quality assurance including creating, designing, and executing the quality assurance testing strategy, test plans, and test scripts. The senior quality assurance analyst will utilize testing best-practices and industry standards to identify and eliminate bugs and ensure that project deliverables are high-quality, and meet business, technical, and system requirements. The senior quality assurance analyst will work with the client to develop, plan, implement, and execute an iterative user acceptance testing strategy and timeline. This position will be responsible for collecting, recording, triaging, and prioritizing bugs/defects found in both QA and UAT testing and will collaborate with the client and project team to plan bug fixes in upcoming sprint, report testing statuses, progress, and results to project management and other stakeholders. Acting as the senior quality assurance analyst, this position will be responsible for creating and maintaining up-to-date and reusable test plans and scripts that provide thorough testing coverage and includes both positive and negative tests. SPECIFIC DUTIES • Create, design, and execute high-quality reusable test scripts and test plans for quality assurance and user acceptance testing to ensure that business requirements are met; • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities; • Lead or participate in sessions where products are verified as functional, reliable, and meeting the end users expectations, with the project team, client, or other end users for approval/acceptance of requirements deliverables; • Effectively implement the testing process, define scope of testing, implement and record testing metrics, and manage testing tools in Azure DevOps; • Utilize the Azure DevOps platform for documenting, tracking, and prioritizing all project related work, bugs/defects, tasks, test plans, test scripts, testing results, metrics, and documentation; • Perform rigorous testing throughout the development process, identify and record issues, and report them to the project team; • Act as testing point of contact for all aspects of QA and UAT including providing QA services and coordinating testing internally and externally; • Facilitate project meetings or presentations to diverse audiences that may include project management, technical staff, and other project stakeholders; • Lead and mentor testing resources on the project team and the clients team, including end users; • Communicate effectively and frequently with the project team, clients, and project stakeholders using Microsoft Teams, meetings, emails, and other forms of communication; • Manage customer relationships, expectations, needs, and strategies to support and align quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing efforts to meet the business needs; • As a member of the projects technical team, participate in reviews of other technical deliverables; • Adhere to the Scrum methodology and follow SDLC processes in accordance with established project development procedures and processes; • Provide leadership to team members and peers through collaboration, articulating ideas, and proposing process improvements to project leadership and within the project team; • Provide support   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
