Description : The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Programmer/Developer, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of ITSAC Programmer/Developer 2 Category, Core Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the TDI. TDI may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. TDI will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s). This contract position is responsible for performing complex (journey-level) computer programming work in the Information Technology Services office of TDI. This position will provide software development support to migrate applications running on a J2EE platform used by the Division of Workers Compensation using DIR-classified core technology skills. Additionally, this position may participate in the planning and migration efforts of additional related applications onto a single platform. Emphasis of work performed shall be on front-end development.
