Solid experience as a COGNOS Framework Manager 10.x and BI Administrator Knowledge of the COGNOS Business Intelligence (BI) to assist in report generation and data verification. Minimum of a Secret Interim clearance to start (Day 1 requirement). Security + certification required to start (Day 1 requirement). Adept at using Access, Excel, Power Point, SQL General Data Warehouse / Business Intelligent knowledge, including Dimensional Data Modeling, star and snowflake schema design, OLAP, dashboards, and KPIs preferably in COGNOS environment Responsibilities: This Analyst will prepare and verify reports that routinely are presented to Upper Management. This position requires a highly qualified and skilled person, with excellent technical qualifications who is experienced at communicating and portraying complex data from multiple sources at the operational and strategic level. This person will routinely interact with senior staff and the contractor designated to support the application. Specific duties are listed below: Develops programs for the system to record, track and store data from the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES). Primary developer for developing applications (document stores, document transfer, data stores, data transfer) that go beyond this specific Agency. Produce documentation on the data migration, write and revise programs to mirror present workflow and case processing. Assist in the data pushes and data structure that support both COGNOS reports and the eMEB application. Must be thoroughly familiar with Access, PowerPoint, Excel and SQL to develop the required reports from the data warehouse and associated external sources (VTA data extract, eMEB, DFAS, TRANSPROC, AWCTS, etc). Prepare/develop all required reports including ad hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as user reports. Serve as contract team lead for the contract data base team, supervising both the administrative and technical aspects of the data analysts assigned. Required to have systems knowledge of data warehouses, data stores, extract transfer and load functions (ETL) and efficient data stores. Maintains the COGNOS reports file. Constructs the recurring reports in COGNOS. Converts the existing quarterly reports package from the Legacy application to COGNOS 10. Compiles and writes documentation of the COGNOS Reports structure and development, maintains the report and request library. As directed or required constructs data base queries using COGNOS to supply requested information to Senior Leadership. Consults with staff as to clarify the programs intent and validity, identify and present the management dash board. Required to maintain access to the system. Provides analysis of application data to identify trends and ensure data accuracy and currency Maintains a written record of data requests, queries for future use Maintains and transfers the electronic archives to the new application. Creates reports from legacy systems data using Microsoft Access Maintains the data log, suspense and queries. Preferred Qualifications: COGNOS Business License COGNOS Framework Manager Certification Experience and thorough understanding of case processing at the Client site and the legacy data base to insure the migration accounts for all the existing elements. Hands-on experience with COGNOS Report Development and Report Migration.
