This position will be reporting to the Website Coordinator and joining a highly dynamic and results oriented team. This position will be a key resource in providing enhancements and security for multiple WordPress applications. Work will support highway safety, emergency messaging, lead acquisition as well as several public outreach programs. This position will be responsible for: • Working across the full stack, building, maintaining and optimizing scalable, distributed features and solutions that enable positive user experiences across desktop and mobile • Developing new features in support of business and project requirements • Managing vendor support as needed for maintenance and enhancement • Working with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities Requirements: • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in information sciences, computer science, or a related field; considerable software implementation experience • Proficiency in PHP • Understanding of WordPress architecture • Understanding of SQL • Understanding of REST API • Ability to work as team member on web development projects end-to-end • Proven knowledge of back-end/infrastructure maintenance and optimization and UX/UI principles • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Knowledge of secure coding practices • Outstanding communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
