Job Description Engineer: Vmware Networking, VMware Server, Windows Server 2012, Troubleshooting PowerShell Scripting SAN

Description :

*local candidates strongly preferred
*manager will ONLY conduct onsite interviews, NO exceptions
*candidate MUST be comfortable working ONSITE for the first several weeks - length of time to be determined by manager. Then candidate can work remotely up to two days each week.
*contract duration will extend beyond 6/30/22, probably through 6/30/23 or longer

Works with IT engineering team to implement and provide support to agencys IT system infrastructure.
Performs day-to-day activities related to the support, research, analysis, and implementation of VMware and Windows systems and infrastructure.
Considerable knowledge, experience, and understanding of working in a VMware and Windows environment is required. This includes:
• In-depth experience with troubleshooting VMware and Windows problems.
• Thorough knowledge of and in-depth experience with performance monitoring, system testing, OS upgrade, and software patch Installation and testing in a VMware and Windows environment.
• Experience with standard server networking protocols.
• In-depth experience with medium to large-scale VMware and Windows environments.
• Experience with providing technical support.
• Experience working with and writing Powershell scripting.
• Excellent communicative & collaborative skills
