Description :

The following outlines the tasks and responsibilities for maintaining and enhancing the Statewide Longitudinal Data
System (SLDS) Website. The selected contractor will be expected to:
1. Website Maintenance
1.1. Regular Updates: Perform routine updates to WordPress, and its plugins to ensure they are running the
latest versions.
1.2. Backup and Recovery: Establish regular backup schedules and ensure quick recovery mechanisms in case of
content loss or website failure.
2. Content Management
2.1. Data Integration: Assist with the integration of new Tableau dashboards and assist with any
troubleshooting related to WordPress.
2.2. Content Updates: Update website content as needed, including text, images, and downloadable resources,
to keep information current and relevant.
3. User Experience Enhancement
3.1. Search Optimization: Improve the search functionality to enhance search accuracy and relevance, providing
users with more efficient access to information.
3.2. Navigation Improvements: Refine website navigation to ensure it is intuitive and user-friendly, facilitating
ease of access to key information.
3.3. Reporting: Provide regular performance reports and suggest improvements based on the data collected.
4. Technical Support
4.1. Help Desk: Offer responsive technical support to address any issues or inquiries from NSPARC staff.
4.2. Training: When necessary, provide training sessions for NSPARC staff on website management and usage of
key components.
5. Enhancements and Innovations
5.1. Feature Development: Propose and implement new features that could enhance the websites functionality
and user experience.
5.2. Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in website development and data
visualization and apply these to the SLDS Website.
Contractor Required Experience
To ensure the maintenance of the SLDS Website, we are seeking a contractor meeting the following experience
requirements:
• The contractor must have at least twenty years of experience in website design and maintenance. They
should have a strong record of creating and maintaining websites that are visually appealing, user-friendly,
and aligned with industry best practices.
• The contractor must demonstrate extensive experience in marketing and branding campaigns, with a
minimum of twenty years of expertise in this field. They should have a proven ability to develop effective
strategies that promote brands and products, utilizing both traditional and digital marketing channels.
• The contractor must have demonstrated experience working with higher education and government
institutions in Mississippi.
• Demonstrated experience with workforce and economic development projects and a comprehensive
understanding of workforce trends, talent acquisition strategies, and economic growth initiatives.
