We help employers meet safety and health standards and we inspect workplaces when alerted to hazards. As Administrators of the states workers compensation system, we are similar to a large insurance company, providing medical and limited wage-replacement coverage to workers who suffer job-related injuries and illness. Our rules and enforcement programs also help ensure workers are paid what they are owed, that childrens and teens work hours are limited, and that consumers are protected from unsound building practices. *Required Skills: *Contractor staff proposed must have Expert (8 years) Technical Experience as follows: *Developing conceptual and logical application and/or solution architectures *Working with multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments *Working with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) *Performing object-oriented analysis and design and/or client/server systems *Translating business needs into solution architecture requirements *Estimating the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives *Applying multiple technical solutions to business problems *Working with .Net (C# preferred) and/or Java architectures *Mentoring and coaching at all technical levels Contractor staff proposed must have the following Technical and Business skills: *Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies *Ability to quickly assess and understand existing Enterprise and Solution Architectures *Ability to understand and work within the confines of network architecture *Understanding of industry standard application development methodologies. *Knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture Contractor staff proposed must have the following Business skills: *Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations *Strong leadership skills *Excellent analytical and technical skills *Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Excellent planning and organizational skills In addition, L&I prefer Contractor staff also have the following skills and experience: *Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes *Understanding of the L&Is political climate and how to navigate the political waters *Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written, visual and oral formats with project teams, internal and external business and technical representatives, and executive management *Experience with L&Is Workers Compensation and Employer Services data and processes *Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
