Job Description Administrator: MS Windows 2003/2008, Vmware ESX, VMware ESXi 4.X And 5.X, System Administration

Description :

The contracting services will support and maintain Department of Administrations cloud services Enterprise VMWare and Windows operations team that hosts critical enterprise and statewide applications 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The contracted services include installing, configuring, maintaining, capacity planning, administration, resource expansion and development to support critical business functions. This position will ensure system security, performance tuning, monitoring, and providing problem resolution to technical staff and customers. Services also include working with application development staff and application support staff within agencies to provide technology support to assist in managing their workload demands and staying on schedule with critical business timelines for projects that implement federal and state mandated programs.

Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Systems Administrator capabilities with 5 years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, a degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
