The selected contractor will work as a member of the application development team and will provide documentation of test plans, test cases, and will perform hands-on testing of applications. Candidates with a working knowledge of Microsoft web development products and tools, troubleshooting and problem documentation and resolution skills, and excellent customer service skills will receive first consideration. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following: • Develop testing related procedures, methodologies, metrics, checklists, and standards. • Document and apply best practices for software quality assurance. • Test application performance and security. • Review new or modified applications to determine if the application meets the requirements/specifications. • Identify variance from established standards and suggest modifications to conform to standards. • Develop and maintain test plans. • Develop manual and automated test scripts for user interface, functionality, and system testing. • Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests. • Log bugs/issues via an issue tracking tool, and help determine priority of reported bugs. • Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing. Experience requirements: 4-7 years of quality assurance and testing experience in the web application development field or in a related area. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures used in web based application development.
