This position must independently analyze business data requirements, and be able to design, model and manipulate relational database systems, data warehouses and multidimensional databases. This position requires a depth and breadth of database knowledge that will help with formal design of relational databases and provides insight into strategic data manipulation. Database Architect capabilities with 7+ years of experience, independently designing and building relational databases. This contract IT position will be the lead on the following activities: • Coordinate and provide advanced technical expertise and services for the design, setup, and implementation of the WisDOT data catalog. • Champion the adoption and use of the data catalog across WisDOT. • Review, develop, and implement policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines related to the WisDOT data catalog. • Advise WisDOT staff and management on data governance and data quality issues, emerging trends, and industry best practices. • Provide expert leadership, strategic direction, and consulting related to data quality, data cleanup, and data documentation. • Develop plans for data stewardship initiatives to support WisDOT business and information technology needs.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
