Description :

Execute effective database engineering by installing and configuring software and monitoring performance of applications to identify and troubleshoot basic issues and ensure continual functioning and alignment with business needs

Develop database engineering skill-set by participating in cross-training and learning innovative tools and procedures to support the achievement of department objectives and optimize engineering operations

Must have:
SQL Server versions 2005/2008/2012/2016 Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Configuration and support of Windows Native Clustering and SQL Clustering and SQL Always ON technology technology Experience in advanced batch & PowerShell scripting Knowledge of backup technologies (Avamar, SQL Native backups, Idera SQLSafe) Knowledge of monitoring tools (Idera Diagnostic Manager, Foglight) Oracle database knowledge 11.2.0 (desirable but not essential) Knowledge of SQL, store procedures, packages and functions (desirable but not essential) Service Now knowledge (desirable but not essential) Working knowledge of fundamental IT concepts, systems, platforms, tools and technologies, hardware, software and services ITIL framework knowledge Applied knowledge of technology to control and safeguard the collection, organization, structure, processing and delivery of data Applied knowledge of programming, coding and scripting in various languages
