Description:

This full-time position will interact with campus departments in analyzing and modeling processes flow, generating business cases, gathering and documenting general requirements, creating gap analysis and contributing in many aspects of the software development lifecycle in complex environments.This position will also support business units that utilize third party applications.

A. Business analysis for a variety of enterprise and local systems.
A1. Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level.
A2. Develop recommendations for process improvements or re-engineering.
A3. Facilitate integration of new systems and processes with existing ones.
A4. Partner with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.
A5. Provide alternative solutions and recommendations to complex business problems and issues; work with team members to determine the most advantageous approach.
A6. Provide advanced problem solving and technical support; work with staff to resolve complex technical problems.
A7. Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences.
A8. Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results.

B. Project management
B1. Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
B2. Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Business Management, Computer Science/MIS, or the equivalent of education and work
2. Minimum of 4 years of business analysis experience with complex systems and projects

Highly Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of business processes and ERP systems in higher education
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
3. General knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
4. Ability to document, communicate, and implement innovative solutions to meet or exceed business goals

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
